S3 Solutions is looking for an experienced Staff Accountant responsible for managing the day-to-day accounting functions for our growing Technology Services firm, including tasks like processing payroll for our consultants, reconciling accounts receivable and payable related to client invoices and contractor payments, maintaining accurate financial records, and generating financial reports to track the our profitability across various placements, all while adhering to relevant accounting standards and compliance regulations within the industry.

Key Responsibilities:
- Financial Data Entry: Accurately inputting and recording all financial transactions related to temporary worker timecards, client invoices, and vendor payments into the accounting system.
- Accounts Receivable (AR): Managing the collection of outstanding invoices from clients, including sending reminders and following up on overdue payments.
- Accounts Payable (AP): Processing and paying invoices to vendors and contractors, ensuring timely payments and compliance with contract terms.
- Payroll Processing: Calculating and processing payroll for temporary workers, including deductions, taxes, and any applicable benefits.
- Bank Reconciliation: Regularly reconciling bank statements to ensure accuracy of cash balances.
- Financial Reporting: Preparing and analyzing financial reports, such as profit and loss statements, balance sheets, and key performance indicators (KPIs) for management review.
- Compliance: Maintaining compliance with all relevant accounting standards and regulations within the staffing industry, including federal and state labor laws.
- Billing and Invoicing: Generating accurate invoices to clients based on time and materials used by temporary workers.
- Data Analysis: Analyzing financial data to identify trends and potential areas for cost reduction or revenue improvement.
Required Skills and Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in accounting or finance
- Strong understanding of Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP)
- Experience with accounting software, preferably industry-specific staffing software
- Excellent attention to detail and ability to work with numbers accurately
- Strong organizational skills and ability to manage multiple tasks efficiently
- A “can do” attitude and a willingness to try new things and take over additional responsibilities
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word)
Preferred Skills
- Knowledge of staffing industry regulations and compliance requirements
- Previous experience working for an IT consulting or services firm
- Experience factoring payroll
- Open to national candidates but preferred location is Central NJ.
