What are the responsibilities and job description for the Travelling Bank Teller position at Isabella Bank?
Job Title: Teller
Reports to: Branch Manager
The Teller is responsible for handling customer transactions, providing excellent customer service and promoting the bank's products and services. The ideal candidate will have strong communication skills, basic computer knowledge and previous cash handling experience.
Main Responsibilities:
Cash and check deposits: Receive checks and cash from customers, verify amounts and enter into computer records.
Cashiering: Cash checks, process withdrawals and pay out money after verification of signatures and customer balances.
Financial Services: Promote and explain other financial institution services such as CDs, safe deposit boxes, traveler's checks and money orders.
Mortgage and loan payments: Receive mortgage, consumer loan and other payments and ensure they match the balance due.
Counting and packaging coins and currency: Count, check and package coins and currency.
Teller station maintenance: Ensure teller stations are properly stocked with forms, supplies etc.
Customer Service: Deliver outstanding customer service and resolve any issues promptly.
Requirements:
Education/Experience: High School Diploma required, previous cash handling or teller experience preferred.
Skills: Strong verbal communication skills, good mathematical skills, basic computer knowledge and an enthusiastic, positive and outgoing personality.
