The Isabella County Trial Court has an opening for a Deputy Clerk I in the Friend of the Court Office. The ideal candidate will have a passion for attention to detail and team play, great customer service and strong computer skills, a positive attitude and the ability to work in a fast-paced environment. GENERAL SUMMARY
Performs a variety of clerical tasks to assist in processing Friend of the Court cases.
MINIMUM ENTRANCE QUALIFICATIONS
Education and Experience
· High School diploma or equivalent.
· One to two years of court experience; accounting and data entry experience preferred
· Any equivalent combination of training, education, and experience that provides the required skills, knowledge and abilities.
COMPETENCIES FOR SUCCESSFUL PERFORMANCE OF JOB DUTIES
Knowledge of:
· MiCSES computer system and applicable computer software packages.
· Court processes and court orders.
· Departmental policies and procedures.
· Laws, ordinances, standards and regulations pertaining to the specific duties and responsibilities of the position.
· Trial Court software systems
Skill in:
· Effective written and verbal communication.
· Customer service.
· Applying provisions of court orders regarding placement.
· Balancing financials.
· Attention to detail.
· Establishing and maintaining effective working relationships.
· Understanding and following written and oral instructions.
· Using common office equipment, including computer-driven word processing, spreadsheet and file maintenance programs.
· Verifying documents and forms for accuracy and completeness.
· Preparing required reports.
