Position Summary
The Sr. Accounting Manager will be one of the leads in the areas of the monthly domestic and international close process. This role will work with our domestic and international offices and operations to ensure accounting policies and practices are compliant with US GAAP. Additionally, this position will oversee local statutory audits as well as ensuring compliance within the international assigned markets.
Essential Duties & Responsibilities (Other duties may be assigned)
- Prepare, approve and/or review journal entries and account reconciliations in support of the monthly and annual financial closing processes
- Responsible for the timeliness and accuracy of drafting domestic parent company and international subsidiaries financial statements while ensuring compliance with internal controls
- Understanding of global consolidations, intercompany transactions, and transfer pricing.
- Perform analysis of the balance sheet and P&L, budget to actual variance analysis for both domestic and international markets, and assist in board of director analysis
- Responsible for performing a detailed review of the corporate tax provision while assisting the corporate tax team with quarterly and annual provision requests and documentation.
- Responsible for reviewing internal-use capitalized software and lease accounting arrangements.
- Oversee the domestic and statutory audits for assigned international markets
- Manage the career development of both domestic and international direct reports, reviews performance timely, and provides coaching and counseling
Minimum Qualifications (These are the requirements that all applicants MUST HAVE to be considered for this position)
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or Finance
- 10 years of related accounting experience
- 5 years of experience in a leading role
- Experience in a public accounting firm required, national firm experience preferred
- Previous financial reporting experience under both US GAAP and statutory reporting requirements
- Experience with global consolidations, including intercompany reconciliations and eliminations.
- Experience with reviewing corporate tax provisions under ASC 740.
- Prior work experience with multiple international entities subject to foreign currency adjustments.
- Solid understanding of GAAP, including ASC 842 and ASC 606
Preferred Qualifications
- Certified Public Accountant designation.
- Previous public accounting related experience.
- Professional experience in network marketing or health and wellness industry.
- Experience with DAX software.
