Responsibilities
- Provide peer support services in individual and group settings
- Use personal stories to assist clients in overcoming challenges
- Encourage client voice and choice in service development and implementation
- Support clients in attending team meetings and other appointments as needed
- Empower clients to become self-advocates and participate fully in their recovery
Requirements
- 18 years or older
- Current or past diagnosis of mental health, substance use, or co-occurring disorders
- High school diploma or equivalent required
- Completion of adult peer support specialist training approved by the Department
Mandatory Requirements
- Adhere to Isaiah House policies and procedures
- Attend mandatory in-services and training programs as required
