SUMMARY
The Senior Manager of Engineering will lead and oversee engineering operations, focusing on the effective management of engineering processes and teams, which include NPI, tooling, and manufacturing engineers. This role requires strong leadership, business acumen, and a commitment to aligning engineering objectives with overall organizational goals. The Director will foster a culture of continuous improvement and collaboration, ensuring the successful execution of engineering initiatives.
DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
· Leadership: Provide leadership and direction to engineering teams, establishing clear expectations and fostering a collaborative work environment.
· Strategic Alignment: Ensure engineering initiatives align with broader business objectives, emphasizing the impact of engineering on organizational success.
· Process Optimization: Identify and implement continuous improvement opportunities within engineering processes to enhance efficiency and product quality.
· Project Oversight: Manage engineering projects, ensuring timely execution and adherence to quality standards while balancing resources and priorities.
· Cross-Functional Collaboration: Facilitate communication and collaboration between engineering and other departments, ensuring that technical concepts are clearly conveyed to non-technical stakeholders.
· Operational Excellence: Drive operational excellence by implementing metrics and performance indicators that monitor the effectiveness of engineering processes and support data-driven decision-making.
· Stakeholder Engagement: Build strong relationships with key stakeholders, including customers, suppliers, and internal teams, to ensure alignment on engineering objectives and successful project outcomes.
· Technical Expertise: Provide technical direction on cable and harness assembly processes, including molding, shielding, and termination methods. Also, lead design-for-manufacturing (DFM) and process optimization initiatives to enhance quality, efficiency, and cost-effectiveness.

· Strong understanding of engineering processes and a track record of driving continuous improvement.

EDUCATION AND/OR EXPERIENCE
· Bachelor’s degree in engineering or a related field; or equivalent experience.
· Minimum of 10 years in a leadership role within a contract manufacturing environment.
· Experience in NPI, tooling, and manufacturing processes is preferred.
Knowledge of AS9100
· Experience integrating engineering with ERP systems

Salary : $125,000 - $140,000
