CULTURAL MATCHMAKING – BRIDGING WORLD
The ISE international exchange student program is actively looking for community-oriented individuals to recruit volunteer host families. These representatives will be responsible for matching well-screened international high school students with local families for an academic school year or semester. This role offers the flexibility of working from home, combined with opportunities for in-person community engagement, making it both a fun and resume-enhancing experience.
Our students:
ISE exchange students come from over 60 countries, are aged 14-18, and are thoroughly prepared to integrate into their volunteer host families while attending the nearest public high school for an academic school year. They bring their own spending money and have full medical insurance, and are ready to become a participating member of their American host family. Our hosts are volunteer and provide bed, food and loving support throughout the academic year homestay.
What Does the Role Involve?
- Recruiting Volunteer Families: Your primary role is to find warm and caring families willing to host an exchange student for a semester or a year. You'll get to connect with people in your community and share the joy of cultural exchange.
- Collaborating with Schools: You’ll work closely with local schools to ensure seamless enrollment and integration of students into the educational system.
- Ongoing Support: Serving as a liaison in your community, you'll provide continuous support to students and host families, ensuring a positive and enriching experience for everyone involved.
Flexible and Rewarding
This is considered a flexible, 'choose your own hours', work from home, position and is supplemental income. On average, a local coordinator who places 5 to 25 (academic year) students, earnings can range between $5,000-$25,000 annually in compensation from placement fees, supervision fees and bonuses. While the position involves working from home, it also includes engaging with the community in-person and leveraging social media to find host families.
