Korean Bilingual Accountant

Company Overview

The company is a global manufacturer and supplier to many of the world's largest companies and operates in the Pillow Blocks with Plain Bearings business within the Industrial and Commercial Machinery and Computer Equipment sector.

Position Overview

• Perform accounting functions to include processing accounts payable and accounts receivable, process payroll for hourly and salaried employees, assist in monthly closings, postings, general ledger transactions, prepare account analysis and other general accounting functions as needed.
• Perform & Assist SAP functions to include processing overall management process

Responsibilities

• Reviews for appropriate documentation for approval prior to payment. Pay invoices after approval.
• Process all transactions necessary for bi-weekly payroll for hourly employees and monthly payroll for salaried employees.
• Assist in monthly closing of all accounts, posting to general ledger as necessary.
• Perform filing and copying as necessary.
• Prepare analysis of accounts as required.
• Maintain all accounts payable reports, spreadsheets and accounts payable files.
• Research and solve payment discrepancies.
• Make adjustments to accounts as necessary.
• Perform related tasks as necessary.
• To actively participate in maintaining the QMS & EMS and all applicable processes, procedures, documents, and records.
• Perform monthly closing by using SAP
• Daily / weekly / monthly bank reconciliation
• Perform Sales retroactive adjustment

Requirements

• Associates Degree in accounting, finance, business administration or a related field with three to five years experience in an accounting role, preferably in a manufacturing environment.
• Bilingual in Korean and English required
• Able to read, write and speak Korean fluently is preferable.
• Proficient in Microsoft Office computer software applications.
• SAP experience required
• One year of relevant job experience preferred
