Responsibilities
- Directs the organization to ensure compliance with TS16949:2009 standards. Responsible for all documentation and internal audits for TS16949:2009 compliance.
- Develops and analyzes statistical data and product specifications to determine present standards and establish quality and reliability expectancy of finished product.
- Formulates and maintains quality assurance/control objectives and coordinates objectives with production procedures in cooperation with other managers to maximize product reliability and minimize costs.
- Directs, through quality engineers and technicians, workers engaged in inspections and testing activities to ensure continuous control over materials, facilities, and products.
- Plans, promotes and organizes training activities related to product quality and reliability.
- Investigates and resolves all customer complaints/concerns regarding quality. Oversees customer concerns for product launches and current products.
- Investigates and resolves all noncompliance issues through Non-Conforming procedures. Ensures daily meeting and scrap reports are being completed.
- Champions quality production and continuous improvement philosophy throughout the organization and supplier base.
- Coordinates incoming inspection function; works with outside vendors for statistical capabilities and resolves noncompliance issues.
- Assures departmental personnel adhere to safe work procedures; assures the facility is free of safety hazards. Provides leadership in the area of workplace health and safety.
- Investigates and recommends quality assurance/control equipment/software for organization.
- Responsible for managing and maintaining calibration system of all inspection equipment and tooling, including Gage R&R studies.
- Oversees warranty and scrap reduction plans.
- Directs Improvement of line quality issues – Line Patrol.
- Ensures Model change-over inspection and in-process error checks are being completed.
- Ensures NG Chute Controls are in place and followed.
- Oversees Customer audits.
- Performs other duties, tasks, or special projects as assigned by the Plant Manager.
- Employee is responsible for ensuring the quality of his or her work and product, following procedures at all times, taking pride in his or her work, and producing workmanship of the highest standards.
- Responsible for maintaining the Quality Management System.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in engineering or business or equivalent experience.
- Problem solving, motivation, and team-building skills.
- Bilingual in Korean & English
- Proven mathematical skills.
- Proven leadership and training skills.
- Proven understanding of metric system.
- Knowledgeable in the use of micrometers, calipers, height gauges, comparator, etc.
- Knowledgeable in the theory and application of statistical process control and design of experiments.
- Proficient in use of computer systems and software.
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $60,000.00 - $75,000.00 per year
