Cleaning Specialist / Custodian

Job Summary
We are seeking experienced, hard working people to clean specific areas in a school setting daily. Part time or full time available. Shift begins when school lets out, however during the summer, daytime hours are available instead if preferred. Year-round position.

Responsibilities

• Perform cleaning duties in assigned areas, such as classrooms, restrooms, and common areas.
• Sweep and mop, and vacuum floors to maintain cleanliness.
• Clean desks, tables, chairs and other surfaces.
• Clean and disinfect rest room fixtures.
• Empty trash receptacles and dispose of waste properly.
• Restock supplies such as paper towels, toilet paper, and soap as needed.
• Keep supply closet and cart organized and stocked with necessary items.
• Communicate with supervisor appropriately as needed.
• Other tasks as assigned.

Qualifications

• Previous experience in cleaning or janitorial services is preferred but not required.
• Strong attention to detail with the ability to identify areas needing cleaning.
• Ability to work independently as well as part of a team.
• Good time management skills to complete tasks efficiently within designated time frames.
• Physical stamina to perform cleaning tasks that may require lifting, bending, reaching, walking stairs and standing for extended periods.
• Valid drivers license and dependable transportation.

Pay: $14.00 - $15.00 per hour
