Senior Civil Design Engineer

ISGF is seeking a Sr. Civil Design Engineer for a Design/Build Construction firm.

Qualifications:

Ideal candidates should have 10 years of experience in civil engineering, specifically in land development, civil site planning, and drainage design.

Key Responsibilities:

• Cultivate strong client relationships.
• Design and develop comprehensive site plans, including all necessary reports.
• Ensure compliance with all guidelines and state agency requirements.
• Manage and facilitate the approval process with various municipal, county, and state agencies, including engineering cost estimates and coordination with external design professionals.
• Communicate effectively with land use attorneys, clients, and engineering review teams from municipal and state agencies.
• Ensure full approval and signed site plans are ready for construction.
• Mentor and guide junior civil engineers in mastering site plan design and the approval process.

Essential Duties & Tasks:

• Contribute positively to the team with a "can-do" attitude.
• Maintain clear and thorough communication (both written and verbal) with strong follow-through.
• Manage projects through the site plan approval process in New Jersey.
• Train and supervise project site engineers on the team.
• Maintain a strong commitment to priorities and deadlines.
• Proficiency in AutoCAD and drainage software such as HydroCAD.

Desired Skills and Attributes:

• Expertise in drainage and hydrology design.
• Licensed Professional Engineer
• Experience testifying before Planning Boards and Zoning Boards of Adjustment.
