Responsibilities
- Greet customers warmly and assist them with their inquiries.
- Process transactions accurately using the POS system.
- Handle cash and credit transactions while ensuring compliance with cash handling procedures.
- Maintain an organized and stocked checkout area.
- Assist in restocking merchandise and maintaining store displays.
- Provide support in supervising junior staff when necessary.
- Address customer complaints or concerns with professionalism and empathy.
- Collaborate with team members to achieve sales goals and enhance customer satisfaction.
Experience
- Previous experience in customer service or retail is preferred but not mandatory.
- Familiarity with retail math concepts to assist in sales tracking and inventory management.
- Basic math skills for accurate cash handling and transaction processing.
- Strong communication skills to effectively engage with customers and team members.
- Experience with POS systems is a plus, along with knowledge of stock management practices.
- A proactive approach to problem-solving and the ability to work well under pressure.
