Position Summary:
We are seeking an experienced Senior Database Security Compliance Analyst with 5 years in database security, compliance, and risk management, specializing in Oracle & SQL Server on Linux/Windows. Proficient in SQL, PL/SQL, shell scripting, and ensuring adherence to CIS, GDPR, ISO 27001, NIST 800-53 standards. Strong analytical and communication skills, with a proven ability to secure databases, mitigate risks, and collaborate in fast-paced environments.
PRINCIPAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES (May perform any or all of the following):
- Ensure database environments adhere to industry security standards and regulations (CIS, GDPR, ISO 27001, NIST 800-53), conduct risk assessments, implement security controls, and monitor compliance across Oracle & SQL Server databases on Linux/Windows platforms.
- Develop and enforce database security policies, perform vulnerability assessments, and utilize SQL, PL/SQL, and shell scripting to automate security tasks, identify potential threats, and remediate risks proactively.
- Collaboration & Incident Response Work closely with IT security, infrastructure, and compliance teams to address security gaps, support audits, provide compliance guidance, and respond to database security incidents to protect sensitive data.
Qualifications & Experience Required: (Required Experience 5 years):
- Experience in database administration, IT security compliance and risk management.
- Experience working with Linux/Windows Operating Systems and Oracle/Microsoft SQL database servers.
- Experience working with shell script programming, SQL &, PL/SQL.
- Experience applying knowledge of industry standards and regulations (e.g., CIS Benchmarks, GDPR, CIS Controls, ISO 27001, NIST 800-53) related to security and data privacy.
- Experience demonstrating strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.
- Experience demonstrating effective communication skills for technical and non-technical audiences and collaborating with cross-functional teams.
- Experience demonstrating adaptability to new technologies and changing security landscapes.
- Experience working in a fast-paced and dynamic environment.
