Position Summary:
We are seeking a highly skilled Business Analyst with at least 8 years of experience in eliciting requirements through customer interviews and creating detailed system requirements documents. Proficient in SDLC, business process re-engineering, and software process flow improvement. Experienced in developing user stories, use cases, and designing wireframes that align with best practices. Strong communication, facilitation, and organizational skills, with hands-on experience using Modern Requirements and Atlassian Jira. Familiarity with state/local education agencies, including applications like FSP, TSDS, and Help Desk, is highly desirable.
PRINCIPAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES (May perform any or all of the following):
(Minimum 8 Years of experience is required)
- Eliciting requirements from interviews with customers and creating well-written system requirements documents
- Software Development Life Cycle (SDLC)
- Business process re-engineering and software process flow improvement
- Development of user stories and use cases that conform to business analysis best practices
- Designing mockups and/or wireframes that conform to UX best practices
- Demonstrated strong communication and facilitation skills
- Demonstrated strong writing and organization skills
- Documented work experience with the requirements management software "Modern Requirements"
- Documented work experience with the issue tracking software "Atlassian Jira"
- Documented experience working for or closely with TEA or another state or local education agency
- Documented experience working with one or more of the following TEA applications: FSP, TSDS, TEA Help Desk
