Position Summary:
We are seeking a highly skilled Software QA Engineer with over 7 years of expertise in testing complex web applications across all phases of the Software Development Life Cycle (SDLC). Skilled in both manual and automated testing, with a strong background in analyzing user requirements, developing detailed test cases, and executing functional, regression, performance, and accessibility tests. Proficient in SQL for data validation and test data analysis, with hands-on experience in API testing (REST/SOAP), JSON, XML, and using automation frameworks such as TestNG, JUnit, and BDD. Adept at collaborating with development teams and stakeholders to ensure high-quality software delivery, with additional experience using tools like Zephyr Scale, JIRA, and performance testing tools like JMeter and WAPT Pro.

PRINCIPAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES (May perform any or all of the following)

• Analyze Requirements – Review and interpret user stories, functional specs, and design documents to develop comprehensive test plans and test cases.
• Manual & Automated Testing – Design, execute, and maintain both manual and automated test cases for functional and regression testing.
• Bug Reporting & Documentation – Log defects, track issues, and clearly document test results, test execution logs, and testing summaries.
• Test Data Validation – Perform manual data validation and write SQL queries to analyze and verify backend data integrity.
• API Testing – Conduct REST and SOAP API testing using tools and formats such as JSON and XML to validate service responses.
• Automation Development – Create, enhance, and maintain automation scripts using tools and frameworks like TestNG, JUnit, and BDD.
• Performance Testing – Execute performance tests using tools like JMeter or WAPT Pro to identify bottlenecks and ensure scalability.
• Team Collaboration – Work closely with developers, project managers, and stakeholders to ensure clear understanding of system functionality and effective test coverage.
• Tool Utilization – Use test management tools like JIRA and Zephyr Scale for tracking test execution, requirements coverage, and defect lifecycle.

Required Qualifications:

• 7 years of experience required Testing complex Web Applications
• 7 years of experience required Testing all phases of Software Development Life Cycle
• 3 years of experience required Database/SQL Language
• 3 years of experience required Creating Automation test cases
• 2 years of experience required API, JSON, MXL
• 5 years of experience preferred Test automation experience using open source technologies and/or in-house frameworks
• 5 years of experience preferred Experience with test frameworks such TestNG, JUnit, BDD
• 2 years of experience preferred Experience in API testing (SOAP and REST)
• 1 year of experience preferred WAPT Pro, Jmeter, or other performance testing tools
• 1 year of experience preferred Experience testing .NET applications
• 1 year of experience preferred Experience working with Power BI
• 1 year of experience preferred Previous experience with Zephyr Scale preferred
• 1 year of experience preferred Previous experience with JIRA preferred

Pay: $55.01 - $59.84 per hour
