Flooring Installer
Summary
The Flooring Installer is responsible for installing and repairing flooring materials, including tile, carpet, wood, and luxury vinyl plank (LVP), while ensuring high-quality workmanship and customer satisfaction. This role involves working on construction job sites and occasionally interacting with homeowners or builders to address installation concerns.
Essential Functions
- Install various types of flooring, including tile, carpet, hardwood, and LVP, according to project specifications.
- Perform repairs and touch-ups as needed following initial installation.
- Inspect and diagnose flooring issues, providing solutions for necessary repairs.
- Ensure proper handling, cutting, and fitting of flooring materials to achieve a professional finish.
- Maintain a clean and organized work area, following company safety policies.
- Communicate with builders, contractors, or homeowners regarding installation or repair concerns.
- Transport and handle flooring materials safely, ensuring minimal waste.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
Skills & Qualifications
- 1 to 3 years of flooring installation experience (tile, carpet, wood, LVP).
- High school diploma, GED, or equivalent experience in flooring installation.
- Valid driver’s license and vehicle insurance as required by state law.
- Ability to stand, walk, bend, and lift materials for extended periods.
- Strong attention to detail and craftsmanship.
- Basic understanding of flooring tools and techniques.
