FOC – Franchise Opening Coach
The Franchise Opening Coach (FOC) is a key player in ensuring the successful launch of new franchise locations. This role involves partnering with franchise owners from the signing of the Franchise Agreement through to 30 days post-Grand Opening. The FOC will guide new owners through the onboarding process, support them in hiring the right team, oversee marketing and presales efforts, and ensure the location achieves its membership and operational goals before opening. The FOC acts as a trusted advisor and accountability partner, setting franchisees up for long-term success.
Key Responsibilities
Onboarding and Initial Support:
- Initiate the onboarding process by preparing and sending the "Welcome Email" and conducting the "First Welcome Call."
- Manage the opening process checklist and serve as the primary point of contact for franchise owners from Franchise Agreement signing through 30 days post-Grand Opening.
- Conduct a Proforma Call with the owner to align expectations and review financial projections.
Hiring and Team Development:
- Guide owners in hiring key personnel, including the Facility Manager, Head Coach, Sales Leaders, and Performance Coaches.
- Hold owners accountable to hiring the right candidates who align with ISI’s standards and values.
- Provide resources, tools, and best practices to ensure the franchise team is fully equipped to operate successfully.
Marketing and Presales Support:
- Coach franchise owners on implementing marketing systems and strategies provided during IRONU (Initial Franchisee Training).
- Assist with presales efforts to ensure the location achieves its membership goals before opening.
- Provide actionable insights and feedback on marketing and sales performance.
Operational Readiness:
- Coordinate timelines, procurement, equipment delivery, signage, and flooring installation.
- Collaborate with the Real Estate Project Manager (RPM) to approve test fits and ensure the facility is prepared for opening.
- Oversee vendor installations and ensure timely launches of key components.
- Conduct the Go-No-Go checklist and a virtual walkthrough to verify that the location meets ISI standards prior to opening.
Training and Launch Support:
- Present assigned topics at IRONU to prepare franchisees for successful operations.
- Coordinate and attend onsite training sessions with franchise teams the week prior to opening.
- Provide guidance during the first month post-opening to address operational challenges and solidify processes.
Administrative and Reporting Duties:
- Schedule and conduct biweekly to weekly calls with franchise owners to track progress and address concerns.
- Complete weekly HQ reports to communicate franchise needs and progress.
- Act as a liaison between franchisees and HQ departments to ensure appropriate tools and resources are provided to owners and their teams.
Requirements:
- Proven experience in franchise operations, business consulting, or a related field.
- Strong understanding of hiring practices, team building, and operational execution.
- Exceptional communication and organizational skills.
- Ability to manage multiple projects and timelines simultaneously.
- Experience with marketing, sales, and membership growth strategies.
- Willingness to travel for onsite training and launch support.
