Position Summary:
ISI is looking for a construction administrator with experience in the construction industry to provide owner's representative construction management services to a federal client in the healthcare industry. As a construction administrator supporting the Department of Veterans Affairs’ (VA) Electronic Health Records Modernization (EHRM) infrastructure upgrade program, you will lead and support the management of infrastructure projects at various stages of development including planning, design, and construction. The ideal candidate should have experience working active healthcare facilities. The candidate shall have the capability of supporting Scheduling, Record Keeping, Budget Control, and Change Management Documentation Management. This role requires a proactive individual with a keen eye for detail and the ability to manage multiple aspects of construction projects effectively. Responsibilities:
· Performing general office support functions including receiving calls, visitors, incoming mail, etc.;
· Taking notes and preparing a variety of correspondence or meeting minutes from rough notes or brief or limited comments requiring reference to files, regulations, or previous reports;
· Preparing timely correspondence or submittals utilizing style manuals, dictionaries, and similar guides to ensure proper format, arrangement, spelling, punctuation, etc.;
· Receiving, reviewing, organizing, transmitting, filing, or arranging delivery of a variety of records, correspondence, technical documentation, samples, packages, etc. to ensure timely action by construction managers, contractors, or other key project stakeholders to facilitate or support construction management operations;
· Compiling consolidating, coordinating, and organizing a wide variety of data as necessary to support construction management operations;
· Formatting and labeling automated documents and reports;
· Establishing and maintaining control logs, preparing data in prescribed format and preparing necessary forms and working files essential to operations;
· Tracking construction modifications, contractor requests for clarification, and material submittals for the office’s assigned projects;
· Entering and maintaining program data in electronic databases;
· Establishing and maintaining a variety of automated and manual records systems reflecting technical and administrative data;
· Preparing and compiling a variety of reports, correspondence, and program status documents, consolidating information into comprehensive documents and preparing final form for review;
· Tracking purchases and shipping receipts and preparing necessary web-based purchase tracking reports for submission;
· Arranging meetings or conferences to include locations, schedule, agenda, reservations, and attendance lists.
· Maintain spreadsheets and other tracking tools for Ball in Court tracking of tasks between project stakeholders.
Minimum Qualifications, Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:
Required:
- Shall have three (3) years of construction administration work experience.
· Work experience and completed projects shall be identified in the individual's resume to show competency to undertake a rigorous program in construction for all identified responsibilities.
· Ability to recognize terminology associated with the administration of construction activity and support CM staff with required documentation and submission of project-related data.
· Must maintain a working knowledge of major construction activity and the typical documentation and reporting requirements.
· Communication, Language, and Software Skills
· Ability to utilize various software programs to monitor, update, and produce work products by applying computer literacy knowledge.
· Ability to exercise good interpersonal skills.
· Must be a U.S. Citizen OR a legal permanent resident (green card holder) with 3 years of US work experience.
· Must be able to pass and maintain a Public Trust clearance.
Preferred:
- It is preferred, but not required, that the candidate possess a bachelor’s degree.
- It is preferred, but not required, that the candidate possess commercial healthcare experience and strongly preferred that the candidate possess federal experience.
- Knowledge of governmental contracting procedures, principles, and guidelines.
Required Education:
- Bachelor’s Degree from an accredited institution of higher learning; OR
- A high school degree or GED equivalent degree and three (3) years of construction work experience may be substituted for the degree; relevant experience will be reviewed for acceptability.
