What are the responsibilities and job description for the Biomedical Equipment Technician I/II position at Isikel Clinical Equipment Technology?
ROLE
A Biomedical Technician I will under relatively close supervision, repair, calibrate and maintain all types of basic biomedical technologies, devices, instruments, and systems. Additionally, they will inspect, install, and perform preventive maintenance services on general medical equipment.
RESPONSIBILITY
- Always maintain a high standard of customer service and professional conduct.
- Repair, install, maintain, calibrate, and promptly inspect a diverse range of therapeutic and diagnostic biomedical instrumentation and equipment to minimize downtime.
- Perform preventive maintenance inspections and electrical safety testing on equipment, devices, and systems on a routine basis.
- Diagnose and correct system and equipment malfunctions.
- Maintain expected productivity according to productivity and billing requirements.
- Complete all required paperwork/data entry on new equipment inspections and equipment repairs and failures accurately and in a timely manner.
- Properly maintain company-issued equipment.
- Skilled proficiency in the use of tools and test equipment.
- Maintain appropriate communications within team, vendors, manufacturers, & customers.
- Ensure compliance with company policies and procedures.
- Working knowledge of technical requirements, codes, & standards associated with the field.
- Advanced computer skills.
- Basic understanding of anatomy, physiology, and medical terminology.
- Develop and present solution options to managers on critical issues.
- Any ad hoc requests needed by leadership

Pay: $35.00 - $60.00 per hour
Expected hours: 40 per week
