JOB DESCRIPTION: DEPUTY EXECUTIVE DIRECTOR
General Description: The Deputy Executive Director’s duty is to support the Executive Director in the development and implementation of the Foundation’s strategic plans and policies, and to provide leadership and direction to the operational staff and volunteers.
RESPONSIBILITIES
- Full delegated authority to act on behalf of the Executive Director (President) in his absence;
- Responsible for the development and execution of the Foundation's technical strategy;
- Provides leadership and direction for operational staff, setting an effective agenda and ensuring performance goals are met and set;
- Serves as a mentor, coach and guide to staff and oversee daily operations;
- Represents the organization to the public, key stakeholders and business partners;
- Effectuates, as requested by the Executive Director, fundraising and donor management, business development and partnership activities;
- Provides supervision, as requested by the Executive Director, for program activities including outreach, volunteer coordination and partnerships development, as well as marketing, media relations, public relations and issues management activities;
- Assist the Executive Director in preparing the agenda for the meetings of the Board of Directors and the annual Membership Meeting;
- Other duties as requested by the Executive Director.
QUALIFICATIONS:
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
- Potential or experience with office management
- Fundraising experience
- Familiarity with Islamic culture
- Experience with non-profit organizations
Salary : $18 - $24
