Essential Duties And Responsibilities
- Identify and develop new strategic partnerships with domestic and international nonprofit organizations
- Manage and nurture existing relationships with key institutional partners to ensure long-term collaboration.
- Represent the organization at key diplomatic events, conferences, and meetings, advocating for the organization’s mission and fostering new partnerships.
- Develop and implement partnership strategies that align with the organization’s mission and goals.
- Coordinate joint programs, events, and initiatives in collaboration with internal teams and partners.
- Negotiate partnership agreements, ensuring alignment with organizational standards and compliance.
- Foster international partnerships, adapting strategies to different cultural, legal, and financial contexts.
- Monitor and evaluate partnership performance, tracking key metrics and outcomes.
- Collaborate with fundraising teams to identify partnership opportunities that support grants and funding initiatives.
- Represent the organization at key events, conferences, and meetings to build and maintain partnerships.
- Provide regular reports and updates to senior leadership on partnership progress, challenges, and opportunities.
- Develop a partnership capacity assessment to vet IRUSA partners for programmatic initiatives.
- Provide oversight to both US Program Institutional Partners and Global Health Partners.
- Supervise partnership staff and assign goals that aligns with IRUSA strategy.
- Manage a Database of IRUSA partners.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
- Bachelor’s degree or equivalent in a relevant field (e.g., Nonprofit Management, International Relations, Business Administration) preferred.
- At least ten years relevant work experience in partnership development, business development, or a related field, preferably in a nonprofit or mission-driven organization.
- Candidates must have prior work experience with a diplomatic mission, demonstrating expertise in international protocols and cross-cultural coordination.
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills with the ability to build and sustain relationships with diverse stakeholders.
- Project management experience with the ability to manage multiple complex projects simultaneously.
- Knowledge of the nonprofit sector, including fundraising, grant management, and program development.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to assess partnership performance and recommend improvements.
- Ability to work independently and proactively, managing multiple priorities and working under pressure.
- Flexibility and adaptability to work in different cultural contexts and navigate international partnership dynamics.
- Passion for social impact, community engagement, and the mission of the nonprofit sector.
