SUMMARY
Plans, directs, supervises and inspects all aspects of maintenance of the building maintenance department.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES include the following:
- Schedules, trains, supervises, and evaluates all personnel assigned in the department.
- Prepares annual budget for department; takes corrective action as necessary to help assure that budget goals are met.
- Implements and enforces comprehensive safety program for employees, members, and guests on club campus in compliance with local, state and federal laws.
- Maintains accurate work records for all personnel in the department.
- Communicates as necessary with golf, fitness, and tennis professionals to discuss conditions of facilities, maintenance plans and scheduled events.
- Communicates as necessary with grounds, golf, house committees and/or other applicable committees.
- Ensures that chemicals, petroleum, and other controlled products are used, stored, and disposed of in accordance with local, state and federal regulations. Maintains required records and strives to minimize the use of chemicals and petroleum products.
- Attends staff and management meetings.
- Attends educational programs to maintain a current knowledge of technical innovations and changes that could affect the department’s operations.
- Establishes short- and long-range plans.
- Keeps members informed about current and future maintenance activities.
- Conducts daily facility security checks ensuring accurate inventory of equipment and keys.
- Directly supervises associates. Carries out supervisory responsibilities in accordance with the organization’s policies and applicable laws.
- Responsibilities include interviewing, hiring, and training associates according to the club’s policies and procedures; planning, assigning, and directing work; appraising performance; rewarding and disciplining associates; addressing complaints and resolving problems.
- Plans professional development and training activities for subordinates.
- Project a friendly, helpful attitude to all members and guests of the club.
- All other duties as assigned.

Requirements:QUALIFICATIONS

EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE
Associate degree preferred. Facilities supervisory experience or any equivalent combination of education, training, and facilities experience is ideal. Must be knowledgeable of all safety procedures, rules, and regulations.
CERTIFICATIONS, LICENSES, REGISTRATIONS
- Valid State Driver’s License
SPECIAL SKILLS AND ABILITIES
- Ability to plan, train, supervise and delegate all tasks necessary for the maintenance of the Club’s facilities. Communicate effectively both in writing and orally with all supervisors and personnel. Completely fill out reports and forms as required.
- Maintains professional appearance and demeanor at all times.
- Must be a team player and service oriented.
- Ability to meet US employment eligibility requirements and company eligibility requirements.
LANGUAGE SKILLS
Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions and procedures manuals. Ability to write routine reports and correspondence. Ability to speak proficiently in English before groups of Members, guests, or associates.
MATHEMATICAL SKILLS
Ability to perform basic accounting and math computations. Analyze financial statements, manage cash flow and establish controls to safeguard funds.
REASONING ABILITY
Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out instructions furnished in written, oral and diagram form. Ability to organize and prioritize assigned projects.
PHYSICAL DEMANDS

Indoor activities include sitting for long periods of time, reading, writing, verbal communication and operating office equipment. Exposure to variable and adverse weather conditions. Exposure to loud noises, vibrations, fumes and airborne particles and chemicals. Active, physical work involving heavy lifting ( 50) pounds, carrying, pushing, pulling, stooping, kneeling, crouching, bending, reaching, walking long distances, driving and operating equipment for extended periods of time. Requires focus adjustment, depth perception, clear close and distant vision. Use of ear protection, eye protection and other safety equipment.
