Job Responsibilities:
- Process and submit medical claims accurately for primary care and acupuncture services, including VA and TRICARE claims.
- Verify insurance benefits and eligibility.
- Follow up on unpaid or denied claims and handle appeals as needed.
- Post payments and reconcile patient accounts.
- Ensure compliance with insurance regulations, coding standards (ICD-10, CPT), and billing procedures.
- Collaborate with providers and administrative staff to streamline billing operations.
- Utilize CHARM EHR for billing and documentation (experience with CHARM EHR is a plus).
Qualifications:
- Minimum of 2 years of experience in medical billing
- Strong knowledge of medical coding (ICD-10, CPT) and insurance claim submission.
- Experience with VA, TRICARE, and private insurance billing.
- Familiarity with TRICARE and VA billing guidelines.
- Proficiency with electronic health records (EHR) systems; CHARM EHR experience preferred.
- Excellent attention to detail, organizational skills, and communication abilities.
