JOB SUMMARY: Responsible for the direction, efficiency and responsiveness of park operation departments including Aquatics, Slide Operations, Admissions and Guest Service, Security, Shows, Parking, , and Risk Management /First Aid/Safety.

- Assist and advise corporate management in the creation and implementation of operating policies and standards affecting departments within the Operations Division
- Oversee the implementation and execution of department training programs to achieve and reach compliance with industry standards.
- Develop and sustain a safe, efficient, professional, respectful, and courteous culture within the company.
- Establish and maintain superior product and service operating standards for all park operating departments.
- Daily staffing levels and management (including fiscal and budgetary) of all park operations and functions to provide a safe, clean, fun and friendly environment.
- Establish goals and objectives for departments and track follow-through to ensure attainment.
- Manage General Liability issues for the Park.
- Ensure compliance with all applicable federal, state and local laws and standards in all areas of responsibility.
- Maintain all required water safety certifications and maintain a water safety program meeting the highest industry safety standards
- Research, analyze and monitor projects to ensure adoption of best practices.
- Develop, review and maintain budgets with Department Managers.
- Report to corporate officers associated with departments listed above.
- Establish and maintain positive working relationships with appropriate community officials and business leaders.
- Manage & participate in the Duty Manager program.
- Oversee all aspects of special event operations, including hiring, set-up, daily operations, and tear down.
- Requires thorough understanding of practices, theories, and policies involved in business.
- Other duties as assigned.
- Lifeguard experience or lifeguard training instructor certification preferred. Certification/Licensure: Must be able to obtain a STARGUARD Elite Lifeguard Instructor Certification and a Certified Pool Operator certification.
- Minimum five (5) years Operations management experience; preferably in a water park environment.
- A BA/BS degree in Business Management or related discipline preferred.
- Demonstrated ability to accomplish goals through motivation and delegation, as well as through established systems.
- Ability to evaluate processes and procedures and recommend efficiencies and process improvements.
- Demonstrated ability to take initiative and execute to accomplish strategic objectives.
- Outstanding skills in organization, budget control, and guest service.

- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Advanced computer proficiency.
- Must be able to work varied shifts, including holidays and weekends.
- Ability to work a flexible schedule, including nights, weekends, holidays and overtime.

- Must be able to sit and/stand/or walk for long periods of time throughout the day.
- Must be able to work outdoors in the park at various times throughout the year.
- Requires manual and bi-manual dexterity, fine and gross motor skills, eye/hand coordination, near vision, hearing and speech.
- Requires occasional kneeling and bending.
- Requires frequent walking, reaching above shoulder, pushing and pulling.
- Requires occasional lifts and carries up to 60 pounds.
- Requires occasional carries up to 100 pounds with the assistance of a two-wheel hand truck.
- Work environment: While performing the duties of this job, the employee is exposed to weather conditions prevalent at the time. The noise level is generally moderate to high.
