Job Overview
We are seeking a dedicated and detail-oriented Housekeeper to join our team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for maintaining cleanliness and order at Island Inn Motel, ensuring a welcoming environment for all occupants and guests. This role requires a strong work ethic, attention to detail, and the ability to work independently or as part of a team. Some front desk help, checking in guests and answering inquiries by phone and in person is required on a fill-in or as needed basis.
Duties
- Perform thorough cleaning of assigned areas, including dusting, vacuuming, mopping, and sanitizing surfaces.
- Launder linens and towels, ensuring they are clean and properly stored.
- Manage housekeeping supplies and report any shortages or needs for replenishment.
- Execute floor care duties to maintain the appearance of all surfaces.
- Provide custodial services in hospitality setting, ensuring compliance with health and safety standards.
- Respond promptly to requests from residents or management regarding specific cleaning tasks.
Skills
- Proven experience in housekeeping management within hotel or residential settings is preferred.
- Knowledge of effective cleaning techniques and products for various surfaces.
- Ability to launder items efficiently while maintaining quality standards.
- Strong organizational skills with the ability to prioritize tasks effectively.
- Excellent attention to detail to ensure high-quality cleanliness standards are met.
- Good communication skills for interaction with residents, guests, and team members.
