What are the responsibilities and job description for the Insurance Underwriter - Commercial Lines position at Island Insurance?
Duties:
Responsible for the complete underwriting process – selection, pricing and marketing of the Commercial risk. Is accountable for managing the producer force, with a focus on producer relationship management. Handles small and less complex agency accounts.
Education and/or Experience:
- Bachelor’s degree required; and advanced degree preferred.
- 1 to 2 years or more commercial lines property and casualty underwriting technical experience required; previous sales experience preferred.
- Equivalent combination of education, technical and sales background experience will be considered.
- Continuing education in insurance and job related issues and subjects required.
Certificates, Licenses, Registrations:
- Valid Hawaii Driver’s license.
- Attainment of or working toward CPCU or other professional designation(s) preferred.
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $50,000.00 - $65,000.00 per year
