What are the responsibilities and job description for the Inflight Catering Delivery Driver position at Island Kitchen?
Summary:
The Driver’s primary responsibilities include delivering all orders, shopping, maintaining delivery vehicles while providing stellar customer service at every client and FBO location. We are currently seeking multiple, reliable delivery drivers to work with us out of our Miami, Florida location. Under the supervision of the Manager, the Driver will be responsible for managing the timeliness and completion of catering deliveries to the appropriate location.
This job requires a valid driver’s license, clean driving record with no points on your license. Applicants must have held a drivers license for at least 2 years.
Driver shifts range in time but are generally:
- 3:30 am - 11:30 am
- 5:00 am - 1:00 pm
- 7:00 am - 2:00 pm
- 12:00 pm - 8:00 pm
This job requires a willingness to work early in the morning, reporting to work on time in a clean and professional apparel.
Flexible availability is preferred but with the right candidate we are willing to coordinate with another job schedule.
In addition to delivering catering orders, you will be filling our vehicles with gas, and helping restock shelves in the kitchen and warehouse.
Job Description:
- Deliver items to customers in a prompt and professional manner.
- Provide excellent customer service during deliveries.
- Use navigation apps to determine the best route for efficient delivery.
- Safely operate delivery vehicles such as box trucks, vans, or other designated vehicles.
- Load and unload cargo following specific handling procedures.
- Responsible for doing grocery and/or alcohol pick ups (21 Years old)
- Re-stock dry-goods in the kitchen and warehouse.
- Responsible for pro-active vehicle maintenance, including keeping vehicles clean and reporting to the manager any maintenance issues.
Qualifications:
- Must be able to legally drive and have a current valid driver’s license.
- Strong customer service skills to interact with clients during deliveries.
- Previous experience in moving, courier services, or related fields is beneficial.
- Must be able to work a fluctuating schedule, including weekends and holidays.
- Clean driving records.
- Must be punctual and dependable.
- Positive attitude and team oriented.
- Strong organization and logistic skills.
- Open to new challenges and constant learning.
- Commercial driving experience is a plus.
- Familiarity with refrigerated trailers for temperature-sensitive deliveries.
- Capable of heavy lifting as needed.

Island Kitchen has been catering private flights out of Nantucket airport since 2018. We quickly expanded these services to include the greater Naples, Florida,Palm Beach, Florida, and Miami, Florida to accommodate more of our clients—providing them with fresh, nutritious dining options during air travel.
