Overview
The Asset Protection Associate plays a crucial role in safeguarding the company's assets and ensuring a safe environment for both employees and customers. This position involves monitoring activities within the premises, conducting surveillance, and implementing loss prevention strategies. The ideal candidate will possess strong observational skills, a keen sense of integrity, and the ability to handle conflicts effectively.

Responsibilities

• Monitor surveillance systems and maintain vigilance over store activities to deter theft and fraud.
• Conduct regular inspections of the premises to identify potential security risks.
• Collaborate with law enforcement agencies when necessary for criminal investigations.
• Document incidents accurately through detailed report writing and maintain records of all security-related activities.
• Implement loss prevention strategies to minimize shrinkage and enhance overall security measures.
• Respond promptly to alarms or suspicious activities, conducting investigations as needed.
• Provide training and support to staff on conflict management and security protocols.
• Assist in the development of safety policies and procedures to ensure compliance with regulations.

Qualifications

• Prior experience in loss prevention or asset protection is preferred.
• Familiarity with surveillance equipment, including CCTV systems.
• Background in law enforcement or criminal investigation is a plus.
• Certification in asset protection or related fields is advantageous.
• Strong conflict management skills with the ability to de-escalate tense situations.
• Excellent report writing skills with attention to detail.
• Ability to work independently as well as part of a team in a fast-paced environment.
• High level of integrity and professionalism in handling sensitive information.
