Overview
We are seeking a dedicated and detail-oriented Receiver to join our team in a fast-paced Kitchen department. The ideal candidate will be responsible for ensuring that products are received, stocked, and maintained in an organized manner to support our inventory management efforts. We are seeking a dedicated and efficient Kitchen Helper to join our culinary team. This position is essential for maintaining the flow of food service and assisting chefs in delivering high-quality meals to our customers.
Duties
- Receive and unload shipments of products, ensuring accurate counts and quality checks.
- Stock back stock and ensuring proper rotation and presentation.
- Maintain inventory control by monitoring stock levels and reporting discrepancies as needed.
- Assist in the preparation of ingredients for cooking, including washing, peeling, and chopping vegetables or whereever is needed.
- Maintain cleanliness and organization of the kitchen area, including washing dishes and sanitizing surfaces.
- Support chefs and kitchen staff by ensuring all necessary tools and ingredients are readily available.
- Participate in loading and unloading deliveries to ensure timely stocking of kitchen supplies.
- Perform basic math calculations for inventory counts and order processing.
Experience
- Previous experience in a kitchen or food service environment is preferred but not required.
- Basic math skills are essential for inventory management tasks.
- Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment while maintaining attention to detail.
- A positive attitude and willingness to learn new skills are highly valued.
