STOCKER FULL TIME

wEe are seeking a dedicated PRODUCE, CHILL/FROZEN, and GROCERY stockers to join our team. As a Stocker, you will play a crucial role in receiving and organizing chill and frozen goods for our store. The ideal candidate will be detail-oriented, organized, and able to handle heavy lifting tasks in a fast-paced environment.

We are looking for an energetic, friendly and dependable person to fill the position of Produce Clerk and Chill and Frozen Clerk. The ideal candidate should be able to lift heavy boxes filled with fresh fruit or vegetables, perform physical tasks like climbing ladders, work long hours standing on their feet and have excellent customer service skills to interact with customers throughout their shift.

A Produce Clerk’s responsibilities include making sure that the produce is always fresh and in good condition. They inspect what the store sells, checking to be sure it has no defects before preparing an arrangement of their choice on store shelves.

The Chill Frozen Clerk position involves a variety of responsibilities centered around stocking merchandise, maintaining displays, and ensuring a clean and safe environment for both customers and staff. The role requires providing standard customer service, which includes greeting customers and assisting them in locating items on the grocery floor. The clerk is also responsible for returning stray items to their proper locations and ensuring that damaged products are removed from customer view to maintain product freshness. In addition to customer service, the Chill Frozen Clerk will handle receiving of merchandise from vendors The clerk must ensure that all signage and labels are accurate . The position involves physical tasks such as stocking and rotating chill/frozen items, maintaining the organization of the store, and performing cashiering needed. The clerk will be expected to follow proper safety procedures and demonstrate the ability to multitask, listen to directions, and work both independently and as part of a team. The role requires good communication and observation skills, particularly when dealing with difficult customers.

• Greets customers when within ten feet and four seconds of contact
• Assists customers on the grocery floor by finding items and returning stray items to their proper area
• Removes damaged products from customer view and maintains product freshness
• Ensures signage and labels are accurate
• Stocks and rotates grocery items, while keeping all labels faced forward
• Provides some cashiering and bagging help when needed, ensuring register accuracy and proper register procedures
• Performs other related duties as needed as assigned by manager
• Ability to stand for long periods of time
• Frequent walking back and forth from warehouse to retail floor
• Ability to carry up to 60 pounds
• Ability to push and pull up to 1000 pounds with pallet mule
• Frequent motions with arms/hands to stock items
• Ability to bend to fill products on lower levels
• Use of proper safety procedures
• Ability to multitask and listen to directions
• Teamwork and ability to follow through independently when needed
• Good communication and observation skills

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: From $15.00 per hour

Expected hours: 30 – 40 per week
