Job Description
We are seeking a Pre-Sales and Technical Account Manager to join our high-performing sales team.
This dual-function role is critical in driving technical conversations, building customer confidence, and delivering tailored solutions across our comprehensive portfolio of products and services. This individual will act as both a trusted technical advisor to our enterprise accounts and a strategic partner to the sales team, enabling the successful sale and deployment of complex solutions.
Key Responsibilities - Pre-Sales Engagement
- Collaborate with account managers to identify customer needs, technical requirements, and solution opportunities.
- Deliver compelling technical presentations and demonstrations of our solutions to prospective and existing clients.
- Design end-to-end solutions that align with customer goals, leveraging expertise across our portfolio of hardware, software, cloud, and security offerings.
- Respond to RFPs, RFIs, and other technical documentation requests.
Technical Account Management
Build and maintain deep, trusted relationships with key stakeholders within enterprise accounts, acting as their technical advocate within our organization.Provide ongoing technical guidance, troubleshooting, and recommendations to maximize customer satisfaction and solution adoption.Work closely with post-sales and implementation teams to ensure a seamless transition and delivery of solutions.Collaboration & EnablementAct as a bridge between sales, technical, and vendor teams to ensure alignment and consistency in delivering value to customers.Provide technical enablement and training to the sales team to increase their understanding of our solutions.Partner with vendor teams to stay current on product updates, certifications, and best practices.Market & Technology Expertise with regards to enterprise storage solutions and FinOps Products and Services offered by Island NetworksStay informed of industry trends, emerging technologies, and competitive offerings to provide proactive recommendations to customers.Actively contribute to shaping go-to-market strategies and solution positioning.Customer-Centric ApproachAdvocate for customers’ technical needs internally to influence roadmap and solution development.Manage technical escalations, ensuring timely and satisfactory resolution.Qualifications :
Education : Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field. Equivalent experience will be considered.
Experience :
5 years in a pre-sales, solutions architect, or technical account management role within the IT reseller or technology partner ecosystem.Strong experience working with enterprise customers, especially in complex multi-vendor environments.Technical Expertise :
Hands-on knowledge of technologies from OEM and Technology Providers such as NetApp, Cisco, AWS, Azure, Google Cloud, CrowdStrike, zScaler and IBMUnderstanding of Cloud Computing, Automation, FinOps, Networking, Storage, and Cybersecurity Solutions.Soft Skills :
Excellent communication and presentation skills, with the ability to convey technical concepts to non-technical audiences.Strong problem-solving and analytical skills.Customer-first mindset with the ability to manage relationships across varying levels of customer organizations.Benefits :
