As a Retail Sales Crew Independent Contractor at Island Passage, you will play a crucial role in providing exceptional customer experience and ensuring that each visitor feels valued and inspired. Your passion for people, keen eye for style, and ability to connect with customers will help them discover their ideal bounty while building lasting relationships. Your responsibilities will include:
•    Customer Engagement: Greet and engage with customers, assisting them in finding the perfect accoutrements or accessories and providing personalized recommendations. Create a warm, welcoming and Island like vibe for all shoppers, laid back and friendly.
•    Product Knowledge: Develop a deep understanding of our product offerings, including the latest fashion trends, designers, and unique pieces in our boutique. Stay updated with the ever-evolving fashion and travel industry to offer expert advice and make informed suggestions to customers and management alike.
•    Sales and Conversion: Demonstrate exceptional sales skills by actively listening to customers, understanding their needs, and effectively promoting merchandise to drive sales. Meet and exceed individual and team sales targets while ensuring a seamless checkout process.
•    Visual Merchandising: Assist Visual Merchandiser in maintaining an attractive and visually appealing boutique environment. Participate in visual merchandising activities, such as arranging displays, organizing inventory, and ensuring products are well-presented and accessible. 
•    Customer Relationship Management: Cultivate strong relationships with customers, build a loyal client base through personalized follow-ups, email campaigns, social media, newsletters, and special sales promotions. Provide outstanding after-sales service to encourage repeat business and positive word-of-mouth referrals.

Minimum Requirements & Qualifications
•    Must be willing and able to lift/carry up to 50 pounds.
•    Must be willing and able to perform duties and tasks for extended periods of time (in accordance with federal, state, local law), some of which include, but are not limited to, standing, stooping, walking, climbing, pushing, pulling, and lifting.
•    Minimum Age: 18 years old
•    High School Diploma, GED, or equivalent experience
•    Computer literate and able to operate Point-Of-Sale (POS) systems and common office machines.
•    Previous retail experience, preferably in a boutique or small business setting.
•    Passion for people, with a strong sense of style and trend awareness.
•    Excellent interpersonal/communication skills & the ability to connect with diverse customers.
•    Proven sales & customer service skills, with a track record of meeting and exceeding goals.
•    Detail-oriented and organized, with the ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment.
•    A positive attitude, self-motivation, and a genuine passion for delivering exceptional experiences.
•    Must have the ability to work a flexible retail schedule based on business needs, including weekends and holidays.
•    Must be able to read, write, speak, and understand the English language.
•    Must be a supportive team member, contribute to and be an example of team work and team concept.
•    Ability to perform basic math calculations proficiently.
•    Cash handling experience is preferred. 
•    Compensation between $14-$16 /hr. (1099).
