Overview:
Island Psychiatry, PC is currently seeking a talented, caring and highly motivated Psychiatric Nurse Practitioner to join our rapidly growing multidisciplinary mental health care practice located in the Port Jefferson and Meville areas on Long Island, NY. We believe some of our colleagues have focused too heavily on the use of medication and do not take enough time to evaluate and treat their patients. Responsibilities:
Oversee and deliver comprehensive psychiatric care to patients
Desire to learn and participate in the use of TMS (Transcranial Magnetic Stimulation)
Complete psychiatric screenings and evaluations
Conduct examinations and consultations
Obtain and review lab work and evaluate other medical conditions and documentation
Make clinical recommendations
Prescribe and monitor medications
Administer injections for patients on IM and Sub-Q treatments
Consult with interdisciplinary treatment teams
Utilize an EMR to complete progress notes and e-prescribe
Qualifications:
Board eligible with the expectation of becoming Board Certified
Experience and comfortability with EHR systems

Compensation/Benefits:
Part-time start to ensure it's a good fit all around at a generous 1099 rate
Quick path to long-term employment
Minimum base salary of 112k plus benefit package, with possibility of up to 185k for the industrious nurse practitioner
