Job Description:
This role is responsible for installing, maintaining, inspecting, and repairing service station facilities to ensure optimal operation. Additional duties include evaluating, troubleshooting, and monitoring all instrumentation systems; managing probe cleaning and replacement; and supervising mechanical and electrical subcontractors.
Responsibilities:
● Ensures compliance with all relevant safety standards, protocols, and regulations.
● Conducts routine inspections of service station facilities to identify maintenance needs.
● Performs troubleshooting and repairs on fuel dispensers, pumps, underground storage tanks,
POS consoles, and other equipment as needed.
● Executes preventative maintenance tasks such as filter replacements, equipment lubrication, and
system calibration.
● Responds promptly to service calls and emergency situations that may take place outside of
traditional work hours.
● Maintains accurate records of maintenance activities, equipment inventory, and service
histories.
● Attends seminars and workshops to improve performance.
● Perform start-ups of retail and commercial fueling stations
Qualifications:
● Valid driver's license and clean driving record.
● Obtain and maintain certifications from original equipment manufacturers.
● Excellent time management skills with a proven ability to meet deadlines.
● Heavy work frequently working in difficult work positions and/or with physical demands such as
continuously lifting/moving materials greater than 70 pounds.
● Must be capable of climbing ladders to install and retrieve equipment.
● Job requires frequent kneeling, bending, handling, reaching and standing.
● The ability to lift and remove a manhole cover.
● 3 years as a Service Technician in the petroleum industry (preferrable Wayne or Gilbarco).
● High school diploma, GED or equivalent education required.
● Technical certification or vocational training in mechanical or electrical systems required.
