Loader Operator

Job Summary
We are seeking a skilled Loader Operator to join our dynamic team in a fast-paced ready mix operation. The Loader Operator will be responsible for efficiently loading and unloading materials, ensuring that all operations are conducted safely and in compliance with OSHA regulations. This role requires physical strength and the ability to operate various equipment, including forklifts and pallet jacks, to facilitate the movement of material.

Responsibilities

• Operate loading equipment such as Front End Loader to load and unload material from trucks and storage areas to the ready mix batch plant.
• Ensure proper handling of materials to prevent damage during loading and unloading processes.
• Follow safety protocols and maintain compliance with OSHA standards at all times.
• Collaborate with operations supervisor and dispatcher/batchers to optimize loading processes and improve efficiency.
• Utilize electronic devices for inventory management and tracking purposes.
• Perform heavy lifting as required, ensuring proper techniques are used to prevent injury.
• Assist in all aspects of ready mix operations pertaining to loading and batching.
• Maintain a clean and organized plant area, adhering to best practices for maintaining operations.

Skills

• Strong knowledge of OSHA regulations related to equipment and plant operations.
• Experience working in a similar environment is preferred.
• Proficient in operating front end loader, heavy equipment, forklifts, pallet jacks, and other material handling equipment.
• Ability to perform heavy lifting consistently throughout the shift.
• Familiarity with inventory management tasks.
• Excellent attention to detail with strong organizational skills.
• Ability to work effectively as part of a team while also being self-motivated.
• Strong communication skills to interact with team members and supervisors effectively.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $36.00 per hour

Expected hours: 30 – 60 per week
