Cashier

At Island Recreational, we’ve been serving the pool needs of Long Island and Beyond for 48 years. We’re looking for cashiers to help us during our busy season part time throughout the summer. Opportunity to move up to sales if you do well and desire.

Great position for students in High School or College.

Duties

• Greet customers and provide assistance as needed.
• Operate cash registers and handle cash transactions accurately.
• Process sales efficiently while maintaining a friendly demeanor.
• Communicate with customers regarding product inquiries.
• Maintain cleanliness and organization of the checkout area and store stock.
• Assist in stocking shelves and managing inventory as needed.

Requirements

• Strong customer service skills with the ability to communicate clearly.
• Basic math skills for accurate cash handling and transaction processing.
• Familiarity with cash registers is a plus but not required.
• Bilingual is a plus but not required.

Willing to train.

Job Types: Part-time, Seasonal

Pay: Up to $16.50 per hour

Expected hours: 20 – 25 per week
