As an established locally owned company, Island Signal & Sound Inc specializes in installing and servicing Fire Alarm, CCTV, Access Control, Nurse Call, and Commercial Sound systems for a wide range of building occupancies from small retail spaces and warehouses to large healthcare facilities and high-rise hotels.

Overview

As a Warehouse Associate you will perform various warehouse duties such as sorting, loading, inputting, unloading and receiving materials. You will play a crucial role in ensuring orders are processed and delivered to meet project schedules, delivering exceptional customer service, and upholding our company’s standards of performance and professionalism.

Duties and Responsibilities:

·       Responsible for the day-to-day operations of a warehouse, including order processing & tracking, inventory management, shipping, and receiving

·       Check all received freight for damage and count according to company procedures; report damage, shortages, overages, and other discrepancies on the outgoing manifest or to supervisor

·       Responsible for outgoing shipments; pre-load and deliver materials, parts or equipment to various jobsites or prepare for shipping to the neighbor islands

·       Pick-up will call from various vendors for all departments

·       Operate forklift to move parts, equipment, supplies, etc.

·       Clean, organize, and maintain warehouse and yard area

·       Maintains fleet by completing preventive maintenance requirements and arranging for repairs.

·       Maintain accountability of company tools and equipment issued to field service technicians

·       Assist field and shop as needed

Requirements

·       High school diploma

·       Computer literacy and familiarity with MS Windows operating system

·       Warehouse experience

·       Experience driving a forklift

·       Pass a background check and possess a valid driver’s license with a clean Traffic Abstract

·       Reliable and trustworthy

·       Have good communication skills and ability to follow instructions

·       Able to lift 50 pounds, with or without assistance

·       Must be eligible to work in the United States

Preferred

·       Two years’ experience in a relevant warehouse setting

Expected hours per week: 32 - 40 per week

The pay range for this role is $16.00 - $22.00 an hour and is based on experience and qualifications.
