Description
General Accountabilities
- Ensure the safe and efficient operation of all facility systems, including boilers, HVAC, plumbing, electrical, and mechanical equipment.
- Conduct hourly checks on boilers and log readings to maintain compliance with safety regulations and operational standards.
- Perform routine inspections, preventative maintenance, and necessary repairs to keep the facility in optimal condition.
- Respond promptly to maintenance requests and troubleshoot issues as they arise.
- Assist in general upkeep, including minor plumbing, carpentry, painting, and electrical work as needed.
- Monitor and maintain inventory of maintenance supplies and tools.
- Ensure compliance with all safety protocols and regulatory requirements.
- Communicate effectively with management and other departments regarding maintenance needs and completed tasks.
- Must be flexible and available to work either opening or closing shifts as needed.
- Perform any additional maintenance duties as assigned.
Job Qualifications
- Must hold a Black Seal Boiler License or be willing to obtain one within a designated timeframe.
- Prior experience in boiler operation, facility maintenance, or a related field is preferred.
- Strong knowledge of HVAC, plumbing, electrical, and mechanical systems.
- Ability to troubleshoot and perform repairs on various facility equipment.
- Ability to work independently and efficiently while handling multiple tasks.
- Strong problem-solving skills and ability to respond to maintenance emergencies promptly.
- Must be flexible and available to work either opening or closing shifts as needed.
- Excellent communication skills to coordinate with management and other departments.
- Knowledge of safety protocols and regulations related to facility maintenance.

Physical Requirements
- Must be able to stand for extended periods of time, at least two hours intervals.
- Must be able to work in a sitting position for an extended period of time; at least four hours.

- On occasion may be required to lift and carry heavy objects, push or pull heavy objects; kneel, bend or stoop, and ascend or descend ladders or stairs.
- Capable of working in a fast-paced environment and in stressful situations.
Salary
$24 - $25 per hour
