Physical Therapy Aide

Job Summary
The Physical Therapy Aide plays a vital role in supporting the physical therapy team in delivering exceptional patient care. This position involves assisting with various tasks within a clinical setting, ensuring a safe and efficient environment for both patients and staff. The ideal candidate will possess knowledge of anatomy and physiology, along with strong patient service skills to enhance the overall experience for individuals receiving therapy. The hours that need to be filled are Tuesday and Thursday mornings 8am to 2pm. Please do not apply unless you are available for both shifts!

Duties

• Assist physical therapists in preparing treatment areas and equipment for patient sessions.
• Help patients with exercises and mobility tasks under the supervision of licensed therapists.
• Maintain cleanliness and organization of the clinic, including equipment and treatment rooms.
• Document patient progress and report any concerns to the supervising therapist.
• Educate patients on proper techniques and safety measures during therapy sessions.
• Schedule appointments and manage patient flow to ensure timely service delivery.
• Utilize medical terminology effectively in communication with staff and patients.
• Provide exceptional patient service, ensuring a welcoming atmosphere for all visitors.

Requirements

• Knowledge of anatomy and physiology is essential for understanding treatment protocols.
• Familiarity with medical terminology to communicate effectively within the healthcare environment.
• Experience in an outpatient or inpatient setting is preferred but not mandatory.
• Strong interpersonal skills to provide compassionate care and support to patients.
• Ability to work collaboratively in a team-oriented clinic or hospital environment.
• Willingness to learn and adapt to new procedures as required by the physical therapy practice.
• Previous experience in a healthcare or clinical setting is advantageous.

Pay: $16.00 - $17.00 per hour
