We are hiring Emergency Vehicle Equipment Technicians with 12-volt electrical experience at our Atkinson, NH location. Island Tech Services offers technology, mobility, and vehicle solutions to our nation’s first responders. Island Tech Services is looking for emergency equipment technicians that can utilize their technological and automotive electrical skills to install and service equipment in first responder vehicles. The 12v Emergency Vehicle Equipment Technician will be responsible for the installation of Emergency Vehicle Equipment, including routing and installing wiring harnesses, Lighting, Siren/Speakers, Prisoner Containment, K9 Cages, Consoles, Modems, Computer equipment, dash cameras, printers, etc.
Island Tech Services will provide industry specific training to the right candidate, automotive 12v experience is a must! The ideal candidate will have familiarity with automotives, possess mechanical tools with a toolbox, and the ability to read manuals / schematics.
Ideal Candidate:
- Experience in working with automotive electrical systems.
- Disassembling and reassembling factory vehicles.
- Ability to read, write and speak English.
- Possess a valid driver's license.
- Be detail-oriented and focused on quality workmanship.
- Be a constructive team player and exhibit a positive attitude.
- Stand on concrete or metal surfaces for extended periods of time.
- Work in an environment that frequently experiences extreme hot and cold temperatures, loud noises, and is fast paced.
- Lift and move inventory items, trash cans and other work-related items (up to 50 pounds.)
- Pass a pre-employment drug screening.
