Description
The HVAC Tech performs the overall repairs of the casino and related facilities heating, ventilation and air conditioning equipment, in accordance with management directives.
Maintains all aspects of commercial and residential HVAC units on the property.
Diagnose mechanical and electrical malfunctions, installs, replaces, or repairs damaged equipment, and calibrates thermostatic controls.
Install new heating, ventilation, and air-conditioning systems; repair and replace damaged or worn heating. Inspects and observes pressure of liquids and vapor with HVAC equipment to ensure efficient operation of units and make necessary adjustments.
Installs new HVAC equipment, performs routine repairs and maintenance on heating, ventilation, and air conditioning systems including any air distribution machinery, pneumatic and digital control, hot and chilled water distribution, and variable air volume systems.
Utilizes high lift for maintenance tasks when required.
Position Requirements
High school diploma or GED equivalent and EPA freon certification required. Previous experience preferred. Ability to work with vendors to arrange warranty service for parts and services.
Knowledge of HVAC installations, troubleshooting, repair and maintenance. Requires a basic working knowledge and understanding of tools & equipment, and general maintenance. Ability to isolate defects in wiring, switches, motors, and other electrical equipment. Experience using hand and hand power tools, machine tools and similar devices relative to trade.
