What are the responsibilities and job description for the Orthodontic Records Technician position at iSmile Orthodontics?
iSmile Orthodontics is seeking a part time Orthodontic Records Technician to join our growing office.
The person we choose to fill this position will handle various clinical tasks in our treatment area including sterilizing instruments, taking photographs, radiographs, intra-oral 3D scans/impressions, working chairside with the doctor and patients on a variety of orthodontic procedures, documenting treatment notes in our electronic management software, assisting with lab slip and Invisalign prescription submissions, assisting with sending treatment-related correspondence to referring dental offices, assisting with maintaining the cleanliness of the treatment area, as well as cross-training in other parts of the office. Most importantly, the person chosen to fill this position is to provide exceptional service to our patients as well as their family members.

- Ability to multitask in a high paced environment and handle stressful situations while still be pleasant and outgoing
- Motivated, positive, team oriented and confident in ability to manage patients and interact with children and adults.
- Have strong communication skills
- Proficient with computers
- Able to understand dental and orthodontic terminology
- Flexible and willing to help out wherever and whenever needed
Details of the position: This is a 24-30 hrs/wk position working Monday-Thursday. Hours are generally 7:30-4:30. Starting compensation is based on experience. Eligibility for bonus and vacation benefits included. Experience in a dental and/or orthodontic setting is highly preferred but not required.
