Job Summary: The SQL Engineer is responsible for writing efficient SQL code on the ISNetworld SQL Server databases. As a member of ISN’s Product Development team, the SQL Engineer will be exposed to hands on development of front end web pages in addition to writing SQL code. The position will also expose individuals to complete Software Development Life Cycle.

Job Summary: The SQL Engineer is responsible for writing efficient SQL code on the ISNetworld SQL Server databases. As a member of ISN’s Product Development team, the SQL Engineer will be exposed to hands on development of front end web pages in addition to writing SQL code. The position will also expose individuals to complete Software Development Life Cycle.
- Create complex queries on large data sets
- Reverse engineer existing SQL code, data flow and logic
- Create stored procedures, triggers, functions and views
- Generate code to extract, transform and load data
- Perform performance tuning of queries
- Develop and design database objects, such as tables, indexes, constraints, etc.
- Analyze query performance and identify improvement areas
- Work with development, QA, business teams and at times directly with customers
- Research and develop new ways to improve existing functionality
- Proactively analyze and bring forth ideas for continuous improvement
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or related field from an accredited university and/or equivalent work experience
- Min 6 years’ experience writing SQL quires and procedures
- Recent 4 years in large OLTP environment
- Extensive Microsoft SQL server experience
- Proven experience in designing databases from scratch
- Ability to demonstrate optimizing quires during an interview
