Job Summary: Responsible for the day to day sanitation of the plant, warehouse, and outside areas.
Duties and Responsibilities:
- Follow all required work safe practices. This would include wearing of all required PPE in designated areas, safe chemical handling, etc.
- Responsible for adhering to food safety and quality system requirements by committing to meet all pertinent regulatory, customer and SQF requirements.
- Follow Current Good Manufacturing Practices.
- Maintain a clean, sanitary and safe work environment.
- Follow cleaning chemicals and sanitizer procedures.
- Trained to use floor scrubber to wash floors
- Follow the cleaning procedure for equipment in plant.
- Expected to work in all areas as needed
- All other duties as assigned.
Required Qualifications:
- Requires initiative.
- Self-starter.
- Must have the ability to think and draw natural conclusions.
- Must have the ability to adapt to changing situations.
- Must be willing to work nights and weekends.
- Must be able to work as part of a team.
- Must have basic math skills.
- Must have good verbal and written communications skills.
- Must be able to handle 50 lbs. or more.
- Must be able to clean and inspect all MDM equipment.
- Must be able to work in areas with extreme temperature variances in wet environment.
- Must be able to work with chemicals.
- Must be pallet jack, sky lift and forklift qualified (or be willing to become qualified).
- Must be willing to work overtime as necessary, including weekends.
- Must be able to work from ladders and raised platforms.
- Attention to detail is a must.
- Must be able to disassemble and reassemble equipment.
