Job Description
PURPOSE OF THE JOB: To optimize the current processes throughout our business line that depend on membrane and filtration technology, and to assist in the implementation of membrane and filtration processes as the company grows.
TASKS & RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Aid in the mapping, optimizing, and automating filtration and concentration processes throughout the company.
- Assist in the creation of standard operating procedures to be used in filtration and concentration processes throughout the company. This may include the creation of process manuals and/or technical guides.
- Aid in training company employees as to how to manage and optimize Ovabind production.
- Assist in the on-site coordination of large capital projects related to membrane filtration projects, including the installation of new equipment, the commissioning of equipment, and the ramp up of new equipment.
- Provide support and insight regarding the expansion of filtration processing capacity throughout the company.
- Participate in due diligence efforts related to possible acquisition facilities.
- Provide insight and expertise in business-line projects related to environmental projects.
- Help in the selection of new equipment and technology.
- Aid in the process of exploring and developing capital investment proposals for filtration capacity expansion.
- Conduct experiments and collect data for R&D developments
- Aid in the design of process flows
- Any other duties as assigned
TECHNICAL KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS AND ABILITIES:
- Understanding of membrane filtration technology
- Understanding of spray drying technology
- Understanding of solids separation technology
- Ability to design process flow charts
- High level problem solving and root cause analysis skills needed
- Technology and equipment testing and investigation
- Ability to analyze downtime data or performance trends data to guide further improvements
- Project management skills
- Has a minimum of 5 years of experience managing membrane filtration processes.
- Has experience and/or knowledge of SPC and or HACCP.
- Travel up to 30-40%, with potential international travel
