Job Summary The Team Leader will oversee associates in the safe and efficient operation of production equipment and processes for the inedible egg drying process in the Eden Valley, MN facility.
Duties & Responsibilities
- Strictly follows and enforces all plant safety procedures and guidelines and actively leads associate safety training and engagement programs.
- Assures that established policies, procedures, and work rules are understood and followed.
- Trains and develops associates to provide depth of safety, productivity, quality, and equipment operations.
- Actively participate in and lead continuous improvement activities
- Ensures equipment is operating correctly to produce high quality product.
- Verifies and reviews completion of operational reports, quality reports, log tracking, and other required paperwork.
- Coordinates preventative and routine maintenance.
- Schedules inbound and outbound tankers-loading/unloading; maintains data log.
- Performs all other duties as assigned.
Required Qualifications
- Experience working in a manufacturing environment.
- Analytical abilities for trouble shooting equipment, finding waste and problem solving.
- Must have ability to operate manufacturing equipment and perform general maintenance as required.
- Ability to read, understand and effectively communicate information through writing and speaking so others will understand.
- Independent Self-Starter/Team Player.
- Mathematical Skills: General Arithmetic/Basic Algebra/Percentages/Fractions.
- Advanced English: fluent in: speaking, writing and reading.
- Computer Skills: able to report and analyze information.
- Previous leadership experience – preferred.
