Production Worker-Glass Breakout

Overview: Responsible for the handling of glass and various other products related to the glass industry. This position requires a lot of bending, twisting and reaching and will be standing and walking on a concrete floor wearing steel-toed shoes for long periods at a time. The job duties described herein are not exhaustive and may be supplemented.

Key Internal Relationships: All Departments

Pay: $12.50/HR.

Key Tasks:

• Lay-up laminated glass and polycarbonate according to “shop order prints” following all procedures.
• Adhere to company on time delivery and productivity goals.
• Ensure correct pile-up of all components including stencil.
• Ensure product is labeled correctly and accurately.
• Ensure all materials are clean and free of defects adhering to company quality standards.
• Maintain good workflow to keep line running efficiently & maintain company goals.
• Eliminate all downtime.
• Notify Supervisor/Quality Dept. immediately of any defective product.
• Complete all appropriate paperwork/ reports.
• Keep work area clean and neat and adhere to end of shift clean up policy.
• Follow all safety practices and procedures and wear all required PPE
• Will be required to perform other duties as requested, directed or assigned.
• Keep work area clean and neat.

• Must be able to lift large/awkward (up to 50lbs) pieces of glass.

• Must be able to communicate, both written and oral, with co-workers and management.
• Ability to meet attendance schedule with dependability and consistency.
• Must be able to successfully read a tape measure.
• Must maintain confidentiality in daily operations.
• Ability to multi-task in a fast-paced environment.
• Ability to solve practical problems and deal with a variety of changing situations.
• Solid analytical skills.
• Excellent communication skills (oral and written).
• Ability to meet attendance schedule with dependability and consistency.
