Job Title : Material Handler

Reports To : Shift Supervisor
FLSA Status : Non - Exempt
SUMMARY
Responsible for moving packaging materials and finished goods throughout the manufacturing facility.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
Shift Start
- Report to the production floor by 6 : 50 AM / PM after following the sanitation and PPE procedures.
- Inspect forklift and sign off on the Forklift Inspection Log.
- Inspect all trailers and make sure the trailer wheels are chocked before entering the trailers.
- Assist the off going Material Handler with any pallets or raw materials.
- Get the list of needed materials from the lead operator from each phase by 7 : 30 AM / PM. Have enough materials on each line to last at least 12 hours.
During Shift
Follow all SQF procedures for bringing materials (pallets and slats) in the plant.
End of Shift

EDUCATION and / or EXPERIENCE
Minimum of 2 years' experience and / or training.

LANGUAGE SKILLS

Ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals.
REASONING ABILITY
Ability to define problems, collect data, establish facts and draw valid conclusion. Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out instructions furnished in written, oral, or diagram form. Ability to deal with problems involving several concrete variables in standardized situations : Ability to interpret a variety of instructions furnished in written, oral, diagram, or schedule form.
