Job Summary:
We are seeking a highly skilled Senior Mechanical Construction Project Manager to lead and oversee projects from inception to completion. This role is responsible for ensuring projects are delivered safely, efficiently, and within budget while maintaining high-quality standards. The ideal candidate will manage project scope, costs, field labor, and subcontractors while driving successful outcomes.
Strong leadership, clear communication, and the ability to effectively coordinate with stakeholders are essential for this role. Additionally, building and maintaining long-term relationships will be key to fostering future opportunities.
Responsibilities:
- Manage and oversee mechanical construction projects of varying sizes and complexity.
- Ensure projects are completed on time, within budget, and meet quality standards.
- Define project scope, schedule, deliverables, risks, and expectations for successful execution.
- Oversee the installation of HVAC and plumbing systems in compliance with codes, budget, and timelines.
- Develop job cost systems, including labor, material, and subcontractor cost codes.
- Negotiate and prepare vendor and subcontractor purchase orders while reviewing submittals for contract compliance.
- Conduct monthly reports and cost reviews, ensuring stakeholders are informed and projects remain on track.
- Build and maintain strong relationships with internal teams, subcontractors, vendors, and project personnel.
- Evaluate and develop field personnel, including foremen and superintendents.
- Promote and maintain a safe work environment through safety meetings, incident investigations, and active employee involvement.
Qualifications & Experience:
- Bachelor’s degree in Construction Management or a related field, or equivalent experience.
- 7 years of project management experience, preferably in mechanical construction or plumbing.
- Strong understanding of construction management principles, environmental regulations, project budgeting, and workplace safety.
- Ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment and manage multiple tasks simultaneously.
- Excellent problem-solving skills and ability to navigate complex challenges.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills.
