The 401(k) Plan Administrator
Summary/objective
The 401(k) Plan Administrator is primarily responsible for managing contribution file processing and distribution requests. This position will provide timely and accurate daily processing that includes managing the money in through contribution files and the money out through distribution requests. This member must be able to manage and prioritize multiple and competing deadlines in addition to displaying good time management. Strong customer service and attention to detail with problem solving skills are a must.
Core Job Duties
- Contribution file processing.
- Match cash and initiate ACH request.
- Order trades.
- Approve and process distributions.
- Issue checks.
- Communicate with clients when necessary.
Job Complexity Applies acquired job skills and company policies and procedures to complete assigned tasks.
Interaction Works on assignments that are semi- routine in nature but recognizes the need for occasional deviation from accepted practice.
Supervision Normally follows established procedures on routine work, requires instructions only on new assignments. Work may be spot- checked in progress and upon completion.
Experience Typically requires a minimum of 1 - 3 years of related experience.
Minimum Qualifications
- Associates degree or 2yrs experience in retirement industry.

- Microsoft Office
Physical Demands Prolonged periods of sitting at a desk and working on a computer. Must be able to lift up to 15 pounds. Travel Required Yes, up to 15% domestic travel may be required. Work Authorization Employee must be legally authorized to work in the United States.
